Biography

Sally Olson, a Vermont native, moved to Las Vegas in 2018 to further her Carpenters tribute show and singing career. She is a cum laude graduate of Middlebury College and studied at Circle in the Square Theatre School. For over five years, she has immersed herself in all things Carpenters after getting the idea to put together a tribute show to honor the music of the famed brother-sister duo. In April 2017, Sally made her NYC debut at the Triad Theater on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. In late January 2018, Sally first visited Las Vegas where she worked with acclaimed pianist and entertainer Ned Mills who occasionally stars as Richard Carpenter in her show and also has a tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis. Sally and her all-star band have captivated audiences across the country with faithful and spot-on recreations of the Carpenters’ music.

Randy Schmidt, author of Little Girl Blue: The Life of Karen Carpenter, has said that “Sally’s tribute to Karen Carpenter is heartfelt and honest” and David Halston of Tribute Masters claims, “Sally is remarkable. Her interpretation of Karen Carpenter is not only spot-on, it is delightfully entertaining.” Sally is truly unsurpassed in her startling representation of Karen Carpenter and captures the essence of the late singer right down to her authentic hairstyles, vintage and handmade costumes, makeup, gestures and voice.

Sally’s Carpenters tribute show is the featured entertainment at the Carpenters 50th Anniversary Celebration in Thousand Oaks, CA in April 2019, an international convention commemorating the Carpenters’ signing with A&M Records. Sally is thrilled to join the Legends in Concert family as their first ever Karen Carpenter impersonator.
