BRANSON, MO – (April 18, 2012) – We are deeply saddened by today’s passing of a true legend and pioneer of popular American music and culture, Dick Clark. As a renowned TV host and powerhouse producer, his contributions to the evolution of rock n’ roll, contemporary music and dance are second to none. Dick Clark orchestrated the sound track to the lives of many generations, and his contributions to popular culture are indelible. His legacy lives on at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater in Branson Missouri, the only theater in the world bearing his name and hosting his and the American Bandstand’s archives and memorabilia that are available for the public to enjoy and celebrate. Many of the entertainers featured in Legends in Concert productions pay tribute to performers from American Bandstand and were directly influenced by Dick Clark. Tonight’s Legends in Concert performances in Branson, as well as those in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Atlantic City, Waikiki, Foxwoods, and onboard the Norwegian EPIC will all be dedicated to the memory of the life of this wonderful individual, uniquely and lovingly referred to by all as ‘America’s Oldest Teenager’.

Tonight at 7:30 pm, there will be a special candlelight memorial held in front of Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater in Branson, MO. The public is invited to attend and bring candles and/or flowers in memory of Dick Clark.
