Blues Brothers portrayers Dan Meisner as Jake Blues and Joe Messina as Elwood are two of the reasons The Blues Brothers tribute is one of award winning Legends In Concert's most popular acts. Both of these dynamic actors began performing at age fourteen and honed their craft through theater study and hard work.

Messina attended the University of New Orleans studying Drama and Communications, while Miesner was a student at Emerson College in Boston, studying film production, comedy writing and improvisation performance. Both are also accomplished musicians.

Like Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi, both performers are diverse in personality and interests. Meisner began his impersonator career as Beetlejuice while working as a sound technician at Universal Studios in Florida. He loves flying, skiing and cooking and says that keeping in shape to do Elwood is his greatest challenge.

Messina began his Jake impersonation at a High School lip-sync show and dabbles at the stock market and aviation. His favorite quote is, "If it ain't broke, fix it anyway." Like Belushi, he gives total commitment to performance and loves the manic energy that Belushi created as Jake Blues.

Messina and Meisner bring Legends audiences to their feet in a rocking frenzy, filled with hilarity and hot tunes. From "Soul Man" to "Land of a Thousand Dances," audiences consistently feel the beat and move their feet in celebration of those crazy guys "Saturday Night Live" produced.
