Just as Marilyn Monroe had two side, so too, does Stacey Whitton, who portrays Marilyn Monroe, the stunning blonde super starlet of the 50s and 60s. She characterize the same alluring mannerisms, the snugly softness, and the same sultry, whispering voice possessed by the real legend. But beneath the glamour is a warm, wholesome “girl next door.”

Stacey’s interest n performing was established at an early age after she was treated to a live stage show by her parents. “It was exhilarating to watch the performers and I became jealous because I wanted to be on stage with them,” she confided.

Observing their daughter’s interest, Stacey’s parents encouraged her to develop her talents and study music. Today, Stacey is an accomplished musician and songwriter resulting from their support.

Stacey is not only a natural performer but a natural beauty as well. During her teens she began entering beauty pageants and talent contests. It was here that many people began comparing her appearance to Marilyn Monroe. “My interest in re-creating Marilyn grew and I watched as many of her films as I could. I wanted to pick up on all her qualities and nuances,” Stacey admitted. “My cousin suggested that I audition for the role of Marilyn in Legends in Concert. I thought it was a good idea and that it might be fun.”

It is indeed great fun for Stacey to portray her idol to appreciative audiences in nightly performances of Legends in Concert. She especially enjoys watching the sparks fly as she makes her way into the audience to greet her admiring fans – especially the males!
