George Strait
Larry Turner
- Branson
Larry Turner, a singer who has performed professionally since 1976, started his career in gospel music as a soloist and also as lead singer for "The Lad's" quartet. In the early 1990's Precious Moments contacted him to start and produce a music show for the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO. He served in that capacity for 11 years. During that time he had the privilege to meet George Strait's father and was told that he had a strong resemblance to his son. After leaving Precious Moments, Larry moved to Branson, Missouri, performing at the Presley's Country Jubilee.
Having grown up in southwest Missouri, music was the last thing on his mind. Larry's goal in life was to play professional baseball. When asked what changed his mind about baseball, he says "I wasn't any good". His talent was discovered during his junior year in high school and he has been singing ever since. His travels have taken him all over the world and throughout the United States.
Larry feels that it is truly an honor to impersonate such a legend as George Strait. George has been performing for twenty-five years and holds the record of 53 number one country singles. He was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and his latest CD "It Just Comes Natural” won Album of the Year at the 2007 CMA awards. Some of his classics are, “All My Exes Live In Texas", "Amarillo By Morning", "The Chair" and he shows no signs of slowing down.
