DUSTY SPRINGFIELD TRIBUTE ARTIST WINS UK'S 'ONE AND ONLY...'

LAS VEGAS- Following a spirited seven-week talent search on the BBC One's smash hit series "The One and Only...," Katy Setterfield as Dusty Springfield has emerged as the viewers' choice as the best tribute artist in the UK.

Setterfield will receive an unprecedented three-month performing contract beginning in May at "Legends in Concert." The celebrated tribute artist production, featuring re-creations of more than 100 entertainment icons ranging from Madonna and Elvis Presley to Tina Turner and Elton John, has been a longtime headlining attraction at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. "Legends in Concert" also is currently presented in numerous cities including Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Branson, Mo.; and Atlantic City, N. J.

"The One and Only..." was a prime-time success throughout its phenomenal run on BBC One and was produced by Initial, an Endemol company. The contribution made by On Stage Entertainment, creators of the world's longest-running tribute show, to produce the hit program was valued highly by Initial.

"Watching the finals in London was thrilling," said Gina Capecci, On Stage's vice president and an associate producer of the series, "especially knowing that the champion would be crowned by the votes of viewers."

"Performing in 'The One and Only... ' was an amazing experience by itself, but winning the competition and performing in Las Vegas is a dream come true," said Setterfield. "I can hardly wait until May to bring these great songs back to America."

"It's been a great experience working with 'Legends.' This is a wonderful opportunity and we wish Katy all the very best of luck in the showbiz capital of the world, Las Vegas," said Louise Rainbow, Initial's executive producer of "The One and Only..."

"After seven weeks of singing live to the nation and winning the viewers' vote, Katy has proved she truly is 'The One and Only... ' and that she is ready to take on the opportunity of performing live on stage in Las Vegas," said Mark Linsey, BBC executive producer for the series.

"Imperial Palace audiences have enjoyed 'Legends in Concert' for more than 25 years," said Ed Crispell, Imperial Palace president. "We are excited that the winner of 'The One and Only... ' has the opportunity to showcase her incredible talent in Las Vegas."
