Temptations Tribute Group Guests on Hit UK Show

LAS VEGAS - "Get Ready," London, 'cause here they come: The Temptations tribute group from "Legends in Concert" will perform live Saturday, Feb. 2, on the UK's prime time hit show "The One and Only."

BBC One, the UK's premier television network, selected The Nate Evans group tribute to The Temptations as the only international tribute act to make a guest appearance on the nationwide talent search competition from which will emerge the best UK tribute artist. They will perform a medley of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "My Girl" and "Get Ready" accompanied by a 17-piece orchestra.

"The One and Only..." series debuted Jan. 5 and has already taken the UK by storm. The winner of the 14-episode competition will receive as the grand prize an unprecedented three-month performing contract at "Legends in Concert." The celebrated tribute artist production, featuring re-creations of more than 100 entertainment icons from Madonna to Elvis Presley and Tina Turner to Elton John, has been a longtime headlining attraction at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. "Legends in Concert" also is currently presented in numerous cities including Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Branson, Mo.; and Atlantic City, N. J.

"I can't think of a more prestigious opportunity and the boys and I are really looking forward to appearing before an audience of millions" said Nate Evans, the group's leader. "What an honor and privilege to be asked to make a special live appearance in front of a 17-piece orchestra" said Gina Capecci, vice president of Legends In Concert and associate producer of the series on BBC One.

The Temptations tribute to one of the greatest Motown sounds in history will appear in "Legends in Concert" here Jan. 28 through May 17. In a singing and dancing musical extravaganza, the Nate Evans group, whose members include Nathaniel Evans Radcliff, Talmadge Pearsall, Gregory Dean Lee, Ritchie Stanley and Reginald Reed, will perform "Get Ready," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "Papa was a Rolling Stone", "Cloud Nine," "Just My Imagination," "Do The Thing You Do" and "My Girl."
