Live Concerts Feature Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Winner and Finalists in St. Louis
LAS VEGAS, NV - Celebrated tribute artist production "Legends in Concert" has joined forces with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE) to bring the legacy of The King of Rock 'n' Roll to fans around the world with an exciting live entertainment tour.
EPE has partnered with a subsidiary of On Stage Entertainment, creators of the world's longest-running tribute show, to produce the first-ever Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Tour. This live concert tour of the world's best Elvis tribute artists will feature the grand prize winner and finalists of EPE's annual Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The tour will begin at the prestigious Lumiere Place casino & entertainment complex in downtown St. Louis, adjacent to the city's famed Gateway Arch. This initial stop of the tour will be for three weeks of performances at the Missouri casino resort, beginning October 21, 2009, and will feature Illinois native Bill Cherry, winner of the 2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Launched in 2007, the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest has rapidly become one of the highlights of the annual Elvis Week activities in Memphis.
The live tour will feature at least three contest finalists on stage at each engagement, along with iconic imagery made available by the Graceland Archives such as photos and video from Elvis' life and career. The artists will be accompanied by a band, vocalists, and other performers paying tribute to significant entertainers who were closely associated with Elvis' career. Together, this combination will faithfully re-create the excitement of seeing The King of Rock 'n' Roll in a concert setting. Each tribute artist will be performing numbers from Elvis' rich music catalog in dedicated sets representing a defined Elvis era, including his early years, movies, the '60s and Las Vegas era. A selection of distinctive souvenirs for patrons to purchase will accompany the tour in addition to unique and rare photographs of Elvis Presley on loan from Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. and the Graceland Archives.

Tour performances at Lumière Place casino: October 21 - November 8, 2009. Performances will take place in the Lumière Theatre Wednesday through Sunday at 7:00 pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm. Admission is $15 per person. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. The Ticketmaster outlet at Lumière Place is located inside the ETC, and is also a retailer for Lumière Theater show tickets.
Details of North American tour that is set to kickoff in January and coincide with the 75th birthday celebration of Elvis' life will announced at a later date.
