IP's 'Legends' Performers on Ellen Degeneres
LAS VEGAS - Britney Spears, Cher, Tim McGraw and Tina Turner will be on the Ellen Degeneres TV show Monday. Well, sort of.
Four tribute artists from "Legends in Concert"at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino were interviewed by Degeneres for her syndicated talk-variety show about people who look like celebrities. The program will air locally Monday, Nov. 27, at 3 p.m. on Channel 8, KLAS-TV.
Katie Murdock, as Britney Spears, is currently performing in "Legends," the longest-running independently owned production show on the Las Vegas Strip. Heidi Thompson, Peter Phillips and Cookie Watkins - Cher, Tim McGraw and Tina Turner, respectively, -- have previously appeared in the full-production celebrity tribute spectacular now in its 24th year.
All four perform on the Degeneres show, taped Nov. 13 in Los Angeles: Murdock as Britney Spears sings "Oops!...I Did It Again," Thompson as Cher sings "If I Could Turn Back Time," Phillips as Tim McGraw sings "Live Like You Were Dying" and Watkins as Tina Turner sings "Proud Mary."
