Entertainment Becomes Legendary Beginning June 2, 2009
MASHANTUCKET, CT and LAS VEGAS, Nevada (March 31, 2009) – Foxwoods Resort Casino is proud to announce that “Legends in Concert,” the longest running celebrity tribute show in the world, will commence nightly performances in the Fox Theater beginning June 2, 2009. Pursuant to a new multi-year and multi-dimensional partnership, the award-winning ‘Legends’ production show will begin a performance schedule that will initially last through September 6, Labor Day weekend, 2009, the longest continual entertainment commitment in Foxwoods’ 17 year history.
Tickets for “Legends in Concert” are on sale beginning April 3 at the Fox Theater and MGM Grand Theater box offices. Tickets are $25.00, with performances every Tuesday through Saturday at 8pm, on Sundays at 4 and 7pm, and special matinees at 2pm on Tuesdays. Featuring live re-creations of superstars of yesterday and today and backed by a live orchestra and dancers, “Legends in Concert” is a true entertainment spectacle for all ages. For over 25 years, the successful production has played on the famed Las Vegas strip, and operated numerous resident versions of the production including Myrtle Beach, S.C., Branson, MO and other domestic and international locations.

Beginning June 2, “Legends in Concert” will turn the Fox Theater stage into a celebration of the world’s most cherished superstars, with specially produced musical arrangements, sparkling costumes and a unique multimedia presentation – all direct from Las Vegas. Audiences will be entertained by the most celebrated tribute acts in show business representing the likes of Elvis Presley, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Elton John, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Rod Stewart, Garth Brooks and more. ‘Legends’ performances will feature five legendary superstars in each show, with the cast line-up being rotated monthly. Each tribute artist will perform a selection of the original artists’ most popular hits. The show’s finale will be an over-the-top celebration of rock n’ roll music and American popular culture.
