LEGENDS IN CONCERT WAIKIKI ANNOUNCES ITS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED LINE-UP FOR NEW “ROCK-A-HULA” SHOW

December 8th, 2011

Legends In Concert Waikiki has announced the line up for its new “Rock-A-Hula” show, opening today December 8, 2011, at the Royal Hawaiian Theater on the fourth floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center. The show will feature a star-
studded cast of tribute artists, including Elton John, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and two Elvis artists portraying “The King” in two of his most beloved eras.

Among the all-star cast is local talent Johnny Fortuno of Wahiawa, Hawaii. Fortuno will grace the stage as the young Hollywood-era Elvis Presley. The self-taught performer was recently crowned the winner of the Las Vegas preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist and also previously performed in Don Ho’s show in Waikiki.

Grahame Patrick will join Fortuno in paying tribute to “The King.” Donning the iconic white jumpsuit, Patrick will showcase Elvis’ rock-and-roll era. Patrick was born in Dublin, Ireland, and grew up in Toronto, Canada. A talented musician in his own right, Patrick has been performing since he was 15 years old.

In addition to the Elvis extravaganza, the show will also feature Mitch Adams as Elton John, Coty Alexander as Lady Gaga and Damian Brantley as Michael Jackson.

Adams’ passion for music and performance combined with his uncanny resemblance to the English rock star won him the coveted role of Elton John. Adams’ re-creation embraces the humor in such songs as “Crocodile Rock” while capturing the true music genius of the man who brought us hits like “Your Song,” “Candle in the Wind” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”

Alexander a.k.a. Lady Gaga has had a long career portraying the world’s most eclectic and iconic blondes. She is as legendary as her newest act—the one and only Lady Gaga. Alexander has been featured on national broadcast network shows including The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Good Morning America.

Inspired by Michael Jackson from his youth, Brantley performs as the King of Pop. With extremely high held standards for this music icon, Damian spent two years honing his skills before captivating the masses. Brantley is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Beginning today these legends will take the stage, accompanied by hula dancers, a live band and spectacular sound and lighting. “Rock-A-Hula” will be open year-round with show performances six nights a week (dark on Mondays). Shows start at 8:15 p.m. with cocktails and dining options available before and after the shows. Child and kama’aina pricing is also offered. For reservations or more information, call (808) 629-SHOW(7469) or go to the Legends Waikiki Kiosk located at the Royal Hawaiian Center.

Last night’s show Elvis sure got a lot of kisses from fans when he came up and down the aisles to shake our hands. Nice touch to the show! He said, “this is a hard job!” Lol… I’m so glad this show is in Waikiki because it is so much fun!!! The production, dancers and band is fantastic. -Maya
