Divalicious Dazzles Saturday Night Crowd!

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Legends In Concert’s Myrtle Beach theater presented a one night only experience this past Saturday evening, March 21st.  The star-studded night featured tributes to divas Cher, Bette Midler and divo, Elton John. Each set brought to life the flamboyancy, artistry, and choreography that made each of these artists famous. With backing from the thundering Legends In Concert band, Cher and Elton John belted out extended versions of their greatest hits and Bette Midler impressed the audience with her timeless singles.

Wendy T., who potrayed Cher Saturday evening, commented “It was great for me to be able to sing Cher’s ‘I Found Someone’ and feel the electricity from the audience! It’s a song I enjoy that  is not often included in Cher tribute sets. I loved it!”

All three performers were met with glowing comments during an intimate post-show autograph session.

LEGENDS “GREEN” TEAM

Monday, October 20th, 2008

At a previous staff meeting, Legends in Concert employees shared their ideas with one another as to how we can “Go Green”. As we all know environmental and energy saving issues is a major concern for all of us and we at Legends wanted to share with you some of our ideas.

Light bulbs: Use energy efficient light bulbs. CFL’s (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs use up to 75% less energy than traditional (Incandescent) bulbs and they last up to 10 times longer.

Email contracts and bills if possible. This will save on paper that you would normally fax or mail as well as postage

Gather your staff and have a meeting of how you can “Go Green” at home and in the workplace. You will be surprised at the ideas people come up with!

Elect a “Green” candidate. During election campaigns, ask candidates about their position on the environment and how it will affect your community

Notify your co-workers, friends and neighbors of ways they can help by “Going Green”

Don’t use aerosols. When preparing for the show, we encourage our dancers and performers to use spray bottles rather than aerosols. Aerosols can’t be recycled, which means they will end up in landfills.

Save on gas and mileage reimbursement by having your sales staff schedule their appointments so that they are no back-tracking to the office.

SteveFairchild Painters Ice Cream Store Fire.jpg

Hello All,

I want to give everyone an update regarding the fire and tell you all how much my family appreciates your concerns, kind words, prayers, emails, flowers, cards, and help through this horrible ordeal!  We truly feel loved and KNOW that this is our home!!

As of yesterday afternoon, we learned that SLED and the fire investigators found NO evidence of foul play and looks as if it was an accident.  Permits have been issued to begin the rebuild of both the ice cream store and the beachwear store.  Demolition of what’s left of the building begins on Monday.

The builder is confident that we will be able to reopen in time for the 2009 season.  We are excited and frantically working on floor plans so we can get the ball rolling.  I want to emphasize that we are all doing well and are excited about the NEW Painter’s Ice Cream.  Yes, it was very painful watching our business go up in flames, but that was only a building and no one was injured.  We will be better than ever once the doors open for business.

Thanks again for everything that you all have done for us.  Your prayers have been very soothing to us.

From my family to yours,

God Bless all,

Steve Fairchild

Fairchild Family

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I originally was going to post the Legends In Concert Operation Baking Gals Team members.  Gals, please forgive me and I am sure you will agree.  I am delaying this to dedicate today’s blog to Steve Fairchild & Family.  We are honored to have this very talented and dedicated gentleman as part of our cast with his tribute to “Garth Brooks”. More importantly we value his genuine love and concern for his family, friends, community and strangers.  It does not stop with Steve, as his wife Anne and daughters Tiffany, Savannah and Madison also touch so many in a unique and spirited way. The Fairchild family experienced a devastating tragedy today, as their family business was destroyed by fire.  We are grateful that there were no injuries but saddened by their “loss” of which represented a true American Family Business with values and genuine customer satisfaction.  Painter’s Ice Cream and the Fairchild Family will move forward and we are here to support them in any way we can.  Our hearts, hands and prayers are here for you.
